Why crackers belong to Mysuru Dasara
The big fireworks belong to Mysuru's own torchlight parade at Bannimantap on the last evening. At home the crackers are smaller: something for the children after the gombe visits, and a few pieces when the vehicles are blessed on Ayudha puja.

When is Mysuru Dasara?
Over Sharada Navaratri, in September or October, ending on Vijayadashami. The dates follow the lunar calendar and move every year, so check your panchanga.
Can one order cover Dasara and Deepavali?
Yes. Order before Navaratri, use what you need for Dasara and keep the rest sealed in a cool, dry room. For Deepavali delivery in Karnataka, order by 1 November.
Can we burst crackers at the Mysuru palace events?
No. The palace illumination, the Jamboo Savari and the torchlight parade are run by the state, and any fireworks there belong to the official programme. Keep yours for home, within the local rules.
