Why crackers belong to Birthdays
The crowd is toddlers and grandparents in a tight space, which rules out most of the list and makes the choice quick.
What to buy
Keep to silent and low noise items: sparklers, butterflies, small chakkars and colour smoke for the photos. Nothing that bangs, nothing that leaves the ground.

Birthdays questions
Which crackers are right for a children's party?
Sparklers, with an adult holding the child's wrist, colour smoke, butterflies and electric stones. An adult lights each one, with a bucket of water beside them.
Can we light them in the apartment compound?
Quiet ground items, yes, if the association allows it and nothing hangs overhead. Nothing aerial.
Is there a smaller minimum for a party?
No, it is 5,000 rupees, which is more than one party needs. The rest stays sealed for the next festival.
