About walas & garlands
How long does a 1000 wala run?
Roughly 30 to 45 seconds of continuous sound. A 5000 wala runs two to three minutes and needs a genuinely clear hanging spot.
What do people use garlands for?
The Diwali morning start, weddings, temple functions and shop openings. It is a ritual item more than a display item.
Where should I hang it?
From a pole or a bracket at least three metres from any building, parked vehicle or overhead cable.
